I took a group of kids here for lunch prior to going to the movies. I ordered the grill sandwich which was very disappointing. It tasted more broiled than grilled. Everyone else seemed happy with the burgers, fries and shakes. Our waitress was very pleasant {cnt recall her name but she has tattoos and facial piercings). If you plan catching a movie, ask about the ticket discount wit the meals.

Absolutely horrible! Customer service is non-existant. Place was dirty and absurd. And when I spoke to the Manager in regards to the matter. I didn't even get an apology and or resolution. Extremely dissatisfied.

This was probably the worst place that I have ever been to. The staff was nice but they messed up our whole order. The salad arrived without dressing, the grilled cheese didn't arrive the way we ordered it, and the chili never even came out. The food itself was not appetizing and we ended up leaving before we getting through our meal.

It was made too small for the number of ppl that visit. It was crazy how packed it was. Also alot of teens are found here. The good thing is you are getting fresh food because it's being made so fast.

Very unfriendly, passive aggressive employees. They seem to always enjoy mocking you every opportunity they get. I've come several times to pick up an order since I work nearby; one time I ordered on the phone and one of the workers gave me attitude. When I got there 15 minutes later, he said, "I told you 10 minutes" and the food wasn't even ready. He tossed my food onto the table and was really pissy the whole time. Another instance was when I ordered two burgers and the lady got my order completely wrong; I said it was fine and that I would take it. The machine wasn't working and took out her frustrations on me by being passive aggressive. And finally, during work I decided to call them. I called twice with half an hour in between calls and the second time someone picked up the phone and hung it up. After multiple times, I've finally given up on this place.

My friend and I were craving fries and onion rings so we decided... What better place than Johnny Rockets, right?! WRONG. We walk in and were greeted super nice and professional and the second I ask if we can be seated outside, the waitress acted like I asked for the worst possible thing ever. Her attitude changed in less than 2.5 seconds. She made us feel sooooo awkward. So whatever we sat outside and not even a minute passed and she comes out and says "oh sorry I didn't look at the time, we actually just closed the outdoor seating area" so we look at the time and it's 8:24.... OKAY! So we go inside and order our food finally and as we start looking around... This place is disgusting. Extremely filthy. Like I wanted to cancel the order and leave. I was so grossed out. The waitress was so bipolar that it didn't make anything better. This loud annoying sound was coming from the kitchen and it drove me insane. She never came to ask for refills until she was ready to bring the check. NEVER going back.

Not long ago, we visited this place to have some snacks. Patty melt was awesome, grilled onions and the cheeses where really awesome. I love it when it melts and when you take a bite of it. Its like a bunch of delicious seasoning that's exploading in your mouth. I never expected this place to be this good. So good.

Johnny Rockets was our salvation after getting rained in at Sunset Place. Sunset Place is very poorly engineered, with the middle of the mall being exposed to the elements, so if it rains, you're trapped in between the entrances. Not just that, but the smooth tile and no drainage is a slip and fall accident waiting to happen. Anyhow. A friend and I ventured in the rain to Buffalo Wild Wings, only to be told it'd be about an hour wait because of some match. Seems ridiculous to wait that long for subpar fast food. Our only option within the mall at that point was either a pizza joint or Johnny Rockets, so Johnny Rockets it was. As others have mentioned, not only is this location super tiny and super cramped, it is overrun by teeny boppers. Service was fine, bathrooms were clean. I ordered a Houston burger and expected to have nightmares and indigestion since it's supposed to be quite spicy but it was not hot for me. The burger was ok, but it was disappointing to have to pay like $4 for an order of fries because the burger didn't come with it. At least Denny's throws in the fries. I thought Johnny Rockets did at one time offer fries, but what do I know, I went there once like 14 years ago and did not go back since. By the way, back then, the waiters danced and sang. Not anymore. I do like the nostalgic diner look, reminiscent of the diner Marty McFly enters. Hearing the oldies is nice, beats the loud TVs from a sports bar, rambling rap tunes, or the untz-untz eurotrash. The jukeboxes at the tables were also cute, though I could not tell you if they worked or not. All in all, Johnny Rockets is a somewhat inexpensive dinner option with a fun, unusual twist on a diner, and the burgers don't have that infamous rubbery texture that the McDonald's burgers are known for. I'd give it 2.5 stars, as there's definitely better out there.

I know this is a kids restaurant/hangout spot but there milkshakes are good. I loved them as a kid and still do. I don't really care about the service since I always get my drinks to go.

The only thing that got me to step into Johnny Rockets was the allure of getting movie tickets for $7.50 with purchase of an entree. My husband and I were planning to see a movie, and needed to eat before the late showtime anyway, so we figured this would be a great cheap meal with benefits. As soon as we walked in, we asked the server who greeted us about the movie deal. We made it clear that we were there for the movie deal. We ordered the required components (meal and either a drink or side), making sure to check with the server again that our orders would fulfill the requirements for the deal. We shared french fries, since the meals at Johnny Rockets don't include sides. They were so delicious. For my dinner, I had a chicken club sandwich, because I was trying to avoid greasy, stomach-turning food, and salads did not quality for the movie ticket deal. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, this club sandwich was the greasiest one I've encountered. And it wasn't that greasy-but-oh-so-good type of flavor. It should be hard to mess up a club sandwich, but apparently it's not impossible. This one was plain tasting, with limp lettuce and fatty bacon pieces. My husband had a philly cheesesteak, which he enjoyed. Both of our sandwiches were about $8, which seems pretty steep when there's no side included. The fries were $2 for a good, shareable portion. Finally, the server came back and asked if we were ready for our bill and movie tickets. We were excited to get out and get to our movie! However, the server quickly returned, apologizing because the movie tickets were sold out. I consider myself a reasonable person, and my husband and I just said it was ok, and paid and left. But, not only had we come into the restaurant inquiring about the deal, but we had talked about it with the server throughout the meal. Couldn't he have taken a look earlier on to see if the tickets were sold out? Anyway, mediocre food, lack of tickets, and mid-dinner pathetic performance by the servers... We probably won't be taking them up on their movie ticket offer any time soon. I'd rather pay full price than endure a meal like this again.

My friend and i were walking around Sunset place and we were both in the mood for a burger. Johnny Rockets came to mind and we went over there to get a table. We were seated right away in the table area outside. Let me just first off start out by letting you know that if you have a problem with the occassional pigeon not to sit outside! they are always lurking around in the outside seating area here. The shakes here are really good! i got a vanilla coke float and returned it, but my friend got the cookies and cream shake and it was really rich and yummy. The burger here was cooked very well and had a good taste. Food came out really fast and i had no complains with the service. Our waiter was very kind and patient considering the fact that we had a cranky baby with us :) PS- When you order a burger and a soda you can get a deal for movie tickets. They sell them to you for 7.50.. and the movie tix are $11 at the box office, not too bad!

So Johnny Rockets is nothing special, usually they are the same all around even over here in California. But since this was the first time I came to Miami and I was kinda of hungry we came here to get a bite to eat. I guess this is just me because it was the first dine in experience I've had with the babe. And no he wasn't being cheap it was just one of those moments where we around and just decided to go here. At least he was a good enough date and treated for my food and everything So back to JR, the service was great, they paid attention to us. YAY! Our server even did a smiley face ketchup for us. It was cute. For the food chili fries were good, not amazing but good and would still eat it. I love the apple pie shake. I didn't know they existed til the babe ordered it. He blames me for taking it all and finishing it ha. Ha, punk handed it over to me. I don't recall what I got but the food was decent enough to make you full. I mean what would you expect from a chain restaurant.

First off, I never go to a place like this with high expectations, but I will never be returning again after this time. My friend and I figured we would have a quick meal here before going to the movies, but we weren't ready for what we saw. When we arrived the restaurant wasn't busy, maybe 3 tables filled, but the ones that were available weren't clean so we ended up having to sit up at the bar; not by choice. When we were finally waited on we gave our complete order all at once and waited. Long story short, did anyone know that the burgers that we eat here come out of a bloody bag of patties? Also, the chicken is kept in a lower bin below the grill. With that said, my friend ordered a chicken sandwich and the chef had placed a piece of raw chicken to cook on the grill, but when he realized the sandwich he was cooking for was fried, he threw the half cooked piece of grilled chicken back into the bin and then when he made my friends chicken he pulled that same piece of chicken out of the bin to complete cooking. The entire time we were waiting the employees seemed way more occupied with joking around with each other then serving to their customers. We even had a table come in and leave in the matter of 10 minutes after waiting to be attended to. And if that's not enough to prove my point, at one point our cook started doing push-ups on the counter. Again, I don't expect much but OUR waitress was the best thing about our overall experience. She wasn't messing around with anyone else and made sure that we were attended to. I will never come back here again though due to the other circumstances.

So not worth the movie ticket discount we ate here for. We needed to eat lunch before catching a movie anyways. They got our drink order wrong. I opted for the 'award winning' veggie burger, which turned out to be a huge misnomer. It tasted like something that was scraped off the sidewalk outside. I gave up on it after a few bites and stuck to the fries. Part of the seat in the women's bathroom was broken off (how does that even happen?!) and the whole place was in disarray. We tried to select a song from the jukebox and it took our money and didn't work. I was hoping at least a little milkshake would redeem the experience. It was basically oreo-favored milk. Less milk, more shake, please.

I usually go after watching a late movie at AMC so the place is usually empty. The service is good and fast so complain on that side. Like every Johnny Rocket you have great music and the old dinner look that makes you travel Back to the Future...or at least it gives me that feeling. I bit expensive for single burgers. I wish they had combos. Love their shakes and fries. Always a good place to eat after the movies.

eww man! This place is yuck! I got this strawberry milkshake (not the kool aid one) and it was so sweet it may as well have been Kool Aid. it tasted just like concentrated syrup and nothing else. Greasy and bland and OVERPRICED! C'mon! You get better at Wendy's for less! On top of having to get the yucky food down, you have to watch all of the annoying high schoolers chasing each other around and acting like they have no sense since their parents aren't around, for once. skip the hole in your pocket and just go to a drive-through.

How can anyone give johnny rockets a 2 star? This place is an American staple. The food quality is always the same wherever you go! It comes out fast and hot. The atmosphere is nice with oldies and always up to cleanly standards. My favorite burger is the route 66 and the cheese fries. The Philly cheesesteak was also really good. If you are think $6 is too much for a burger go to McDonald's. For fast service before a movie come here!

Ah...the memories. I used to come to Johnny Rockets all the time when I was in highschool. I am not impressed anymore. Their burgers are ok and the onion rings, which was the menu item I used to enjoy the most, are greasy and not that crunchy. It is fast food, although I didn't think of it that way when I was a kid. At least their shakes are still pretty good. Their decor and 50s theme is all I really enjoy about this place. I don't think I'll be returning to Johnny Rockets. I'm sorry you've been replaced.

Shakes, Great, Fries good, burgers..... alright. I much rather recommend this place for just some quick shakes and Great service. Our server with the Red Hot Chili peppers tattoos was very thorough, informative, and pleasant. always a fun atmosphere with fun oldies playing in the background. All in all its great for a quick snack before a movie so you don't have to pay $80.15 for an Icee, nachos and Popcorn

I ate here with my mom, and aunt together with my cousin. I ordered a burger and some fries with melted cheese on top of it. The burger was ok, better than mcdonalds, and the fries was ok. The service was very poor, we had to ask two to three times before we got what we asked for. Also, don't go here on a friday or saturday night. It's packed with teens, loud teens+poor service+ ok food= horrible dining experience.

It's a 1960s diner, people. Johnny Rockets is a step up from your McDonalds and Wendy's restaurants, but it is still a fast food restaurant no matter how you look at it. You're paying a little more for them to transport you back to the 1960s. I ate there with my wife and children on Sunday afternoon and it was wonderful. The kids love the music playing and the ketchup happy faces they are given with their french fries. My wife and I enjoyed the music, as did the kids and we couldn't help but leave the restaurant smiling. The burgers and fries are better than what you'll find at other fast food restaurants, but it is still a 1960s diner where greasy food is how it's made.

I always go to the AMC at Sunset Place and we decided to go to this place, I have never ever been in such a filthy place in my life. The employees were all dirty with food stains all over their clothes, the manager looked like he had laid down on a pool of ketchup. Disgusting! We ordered 2 milk shakes which tasted like butter and sugar and couple sandwiches, I am allergic to bacon and I ordered without bacon, it took them 20 minutes to bring my sandwich and I saw when they put and removed the bacon from the sandwich and the chicken tenders were a no show. The cheese fries were burned. We cancelled everything because we were grossed out by the filthiness of the place and for 2 shakes, 2 water bottles and burned cheese fries, we had to pay 27 . Way over priced..... I do no recommend this place to anyone, I really hope that the department of health and food safety go there and do something about it.
